Ihre Aufgaben
- Opportunity to conduct high-level interdisciplinary research within the newly established DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre CRC/SFB 1752 “DYNAMO – Immediate Tumor Dynamics in Melanoma Therapy”, investigating the earliest mechanisms of therapy resistance in melanoma during the first days and weeks after therapy initiation (“DYNAMO Window”)
- Work in Project C02 “Automated validation, design and exchange of molecular hypotheses as an integral feature of melanoma biobanking and consortial resistance research” - development of statistical and algorithmic solutions for the integrative analysis of molecular data with Python and Rust, in particular focusing on boolean relationships between features
- development of reproducible data analysis pipelines with Snakemake
- bioinformatic analysis of molecular data (genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, proteomics)
- Presentation of scientific results at meetings and conferences
Ihr Profil
- You have completed a Diploma or Master degree in computer science, applied mathematics, technical medicine or related disciplines
- You are highly motivated to expand your knowledge in bioinformatics, genomics, transcriptomics, precision medicine
- You have experience in biomedical data analysis, software engineering, programming with Python and (optionally) Rust as well as workflow development with Snakemake
- You are able to work both independently and in interdisciplinary teams
- You are a highly motivated, creative and team-oriented personality
- You are proficient in spoken and written English
